Dead Ink

One of my main influences when drawing and painting has always been music. I've found that both Jazz and Blues provides the best soundtrack when working. I could listen to Ornette Coleman blow a horn all day, or the guttural bark and growl from Howlin Wolf. It gives me energy and ideas. So I decided to pay tribute to these artists with single vertical lined ink drawings. Delicate and powerful at the same time, just like the music that inspired them.
